S(o)umaya El Houbba
By nature, I have always been curious about our human landscape's individual and collective stories—the narratives connecting and disconnecting us from our vital life force. My hunger for understanding human behavior led me to pursue academically a degree in psychology (BSc in Neuropsychology and MSc in Social & Health Psychology), which helped shed more light on the educative scientific aspects. Personal and professional experiences with Intergenerational, Gender-based, and Racial Trauma gave me a deeper understanding of the more challenging aspects of the healing process. I have trained in various teacher-student frameworks, including martial arts, dance, and spiritual practices. My love for movement, nature, and holistic healing has led to additional training in somatic and trauma-informed methodologies, including IOPT, EFT, MBSR, and Somatic Trauma Techniques.
SUHU HEALING
Growing up in a diverse migratory, racial, and multi-religious context brings many other forms of individual and social experiences. I firmly believe that my personal healing journey has been influenced deeply by the people and communities I have been gratefully part of. From that rich source came a consistent need to share my life mission of creating a holistic healing practice. SUHU HEALING is mainly focused on supporting and deeply acknowledging these rich intersections. Continues collaboration with other artists, humanitarians, and healers is a must to create a fruitful and empowered community of healing.
